Beautiful work! But why are you not wearing a mask? Zirconia is super carcinogenic when inhaled ...
You are correct. I should have done that in the video to set an example.
Hello sir can we put it on zirconia? It last ?
Yes you can
"Hi I've learned a lot from your videos, thank you! Is there a method in exocad for drawing subgingival margins on intraoral scanned files that allows for removing soft tissue on the buccal and lingual sides? I want to achieve a result similar to margin scraping on stone models, without using freeform modeling. Any advice?"
Yes. The new version of 3.2 is allowing that.

Yes it's possible in the 3.2 version of Exocad. Which version do you have?

As always, wonderful and very educational videos! Just wanted to ask about the metal structure. Did you notice colour change in the denture ? Did not see any pink opaque on the metal structure. Also wich 3d Printer did you use? Thank you!
Thank you for the great comment and question. I was thinking about using Pink opaque on the TI bar but the lucitone curing resin blocked it out nicely. I did not see any color change even in intra oral photos. I used an Asiga 4K for that and milled Harvest Dental PMMA for the teeth, but you can also print the teeth.
Actually today I did another case like this and had to put a little bit tooth color opaque in one area because it was too close to the artificial tooth. It worked out great. To close the loop, yes, you and apply opaque but it's only necessary in specific areas where you need it
@masterdentaltechnician1914 Thank you for your answer. If you apply opaque, then you have to scan again or somehow alocate extra space for the opaque, right? By the way, using a bar or structure from the reinforced composite fibre (pink or white) will save us some more time 😅. (Wich you also shown in one of you wonderful videos).
@@alinmiron6657 there is enough space for a thin layer of opaque. If you plan ahead and know you want to apply opaque later make the gap larger as shown in the vudeo
You are the man for figuring this out. Seriously Exocad....how in the heck was anyone else supposed to figure this out???
Thank you 😀
Is this possible to design in 3shape? Would love more videos on 3shape your videos are the best I’ve seen!
It's not possible in 3Shape. You can do part of it there but you need to do the cutting part in Meshmixer
very nice 👍
Thank you. It's an older video but still works. Did you see my newer ones?
i think B4D is a little better that this
I have no doubts. It's great to have options so you can choose what works best for you. Thanks for watching the video.
hello..i have question..i noticed in your firring chart you dont have vacum ..explain
Correct. I don't like vacuum on ANY glaze cylcle. Layered PFM, Emax MIYO etc. I found that no vacuum will get you a nicer looking glaze with less Glaze paste. I see people putting tons of Glaze paste on their crowns because they want it shiny in one bake. Without vacuum you can achieve it with less Glaze. I also fire Structure without glaze and get a nicer texture.
So to clarify this is protocol: 1st we need to: - Buy Zest Scanbody - Scan it - Buy your library and design denture - Order Zest locators (male parts) - Print a model with your analogs from library - In the meantime mill or print denture base&teeth - Screw the male parts of locators in the printed model and attach the female parts on it to pick them up with milled/printed base -Glue the teeth and base with special material and finish the denture. Is that correct, or am I missing something? Thank you!
That's correct. I would pick up the locator housing in the patient's mouth though. IOS scans are highly inaccurate when it comes to implant cases and cross arch accuracy. The point of this workflow is to get a headstart but it does not take away the fact that IOS scans are inaccurate.
@@masterdentaltechnician1914yes, pick-up in patients mouth is mandatory. But can acrylic base without internal metal substructure for locator housings work for longtime? Which PMMA, would you preffer for final restoration?
@kristijanmalus48 I use Lucetone 199 printed and milled/or printed teeth. You can use the milled PMMA from Harvest Dental for example. When you want internal bars see my other video on how to do those.ua-cam.com/video/vKp_jKLYmBE/v-deo.html
when i did tip no.1 the analogue can in another coordination " not aligned with the implant "
Which version of XOCAD are you using? Some of these tips do not work in 3.2 anymore.

Thank you for your video, It's amazing. I tried, but in final step, when I need to subtract attachment always I get a failure message. Attachment can't be applyed. There is any secret here to succesfully apply cutter as attachment/subtract ? Thank you verymuch.
There are several reasons why there is a failure. Usually it has to do with the cutter itself. 1) Check if you exported only 1 mesh as the cutter. Double meshes cause errors. 2) the cutter has some errors in itself. import the cutter into Meshmixer and inspect for errors. make the cutter a solid. Export and try again. 3) if you didn't rotate the cutter in the subtraction mode it might fail. The Meshmixer version usually helps.
@@masterdentaltechnician1914 Thank you very very much, I will try all 3 dots and get back here to let you know. I repeat, your wok in this video is really amazing.
@mariussava6126 if it's not working send me the file on Patreon and I will look at it.
@@masterdentaltechnician1914 Hi. I tried several times, both ways(make solid in meshmixer and loading as model am do bottoms) and it worked nicely. Now, understanding your ideea, it make sense, is logical....now I'm asking myself why I didn't think this way before... Thank you very much.
@mariussava6126 you are welcome. I use that technique on all locator and Conus cases to have an internal TI-Bar. If you haven't seen that technique I made a video about it. Thanks for the comment!!
thank you for this sir

Perfect tutorial! Waiting for the stl 😊

Really great Video!! How can I activate those advanced setting for changing the screw angle access. The dont show on my programm! Thaaanks!
Good question. It depends on the manufacturer of the TI bases and the library code. if a system does not feature the angulation of screw channels then the feature won't show up. As a demo case I would use an Aurum TI base from Dess. Those have angulated features for sure.
@@masterdentaltechnician1914 👌 thanks Master!!!! In deed I have changed library and Voalá! Learn so much from your videos!!!
Thanks for the video! between PIC and ICAM, which one do you find easier to use? I would love to see a video of detailed process of merging the files in EXOCAD and designing AO4 immediate prosthesis. Thanks.
Thank you for the comment. This video has a portion of alignment in Exoxad. The difference of PIC and ICAM on a very high level it that PIC has 2 cameras and ICAM has 4. PIC offers direct to Implant scan flags. ICAM can move the camera while PIC has to be still. That's very high level information.
Thank you for all the videos/lessons, every one is a gem making the experience greater and most helpful as a early tech.
Thank you for the great comment. If you have time share the videos with others so they can learn as well 😀
Thank you for this useful video. I use light curing material but this decision way better. Definitely I need to buy that kit

I use Zirkonzahn Prettau 2 pucks and I tried contouring at green state but it breaks so easily. Would there be a difference in the brand of the puck?
Oh and bleach shade pucks seem more fragile than other shades. Would that make a difference or is it just me? I’ve just returned to this field after 8yrs. A lot has changed and a lot to learn..
What tools do you use in green state?
Try Argen Zirconia, B&D origin or Upcerra. Those are very good brands that I have great success with
